Join us in Manhattan's Chinatown to
celebrate the 29th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act;
to instill and reinforce pride among all members of the disability
community, their caregivers, family, friends and supporters; to change
the public perception of people with disabilities; and to tear down the
barriers and boundaries that divide us in order to foster a spirit of
unity and collaboration.
Happening for the first time this
year, we'll be celebrating 25th Annual Burmese New Year Water Festival
too. Also our friends at GrowNYC will be hosting a Stop 'N' Swap,
allowing passerbys to bring clean, reusable, portable items such as
clothing, housewares, games, books & toys that are no longer needed,
and for taking home at no cost.
From 11am to 4pm, visit cultural and
information booths throughout Mott (Worth to Pell Street), enjoy games
and activities, as well as taste all the delicious foods that Chinatown
has to offer everyone.
