Assistance & Guidance for Businesses Impacted Due to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The City is offering small businesses with fewer than 5 employees a grant to cover 40% of payroll costs for two months to help retain employees.

Businesses with fewer than 100 employees who have seen sales decreases of 25% or more will be eligible to apply for zero interest loans of up to $75,000 to help ensure business continuity.
  • Congress passed and the President signed into law the legislative package known as the CARES Act. When implemented, it will include $377 billion for small businesses, including loans to small businesses, which offer loan forgiveness for funds spent on payroll, rent, mortgage interest, and utilities. More than 59,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus in New York State as of Sunday, state health officials said. Of those cases, 965 people have died, up from 728 the day before. More than 8,500 people are currently in the hospital for coronavirus in the state. The vast majority of the state's cases are located in New York City, which has reported 32,308 cases and 678 deaths.

People have reported being coughed at or spit on and being told to leave stores, Uber and Lyft drivers refusing to pick them up, verbal and online harassment and physical assault, according to the site, which was launched by the Asian Pacific Policy and Planning Council (A3PCON) and Chinese for Affirmative Action.
